Overview
RoutePilot is a field service platform built for route-based service operators — pest control, lawn care, pool service, tree trimming, exterior cleaning, and similar recurring maintenance businesses.
It replaces the combination of spreadsheets, phone calls, and disconnected tools most small service teams use to manage their day.
What RoutePilot Does
| Area | What it handles |
|---|---|
| Scheduling | Recurring jobs, one-time jobs, technician assignments |
| Dispatch | Day-of route boards, stop ordering, last-minute changes |
| Mobile | Technician app for completing stops, notes, photos, signatures |
| Billing | Estimates, work orders, invoices, payment links |
| Communications | Job confirmations and follow-ups via SMS and email |
| Tracking | Vehicle GPS, technician presence, route history |
| Accounts Receivable | Aging dashboard, collection notes, overdue follow-up |
Who It's For
RoutePilot is designed for owners, office managers, and dispatchers who coordinate a small team of field technicians. Typical team size is 2–20 technicians.
Technicians use the mobile app on their phones to receive stops, complete jobs, and capture proof of service.
How a Typical Day Works
- The dispatcher reviews tomorrow's schedule the night before
- Jobs are assigned to technicians on the dispatch board
- Routes are confirmed and optionally optimized for driving time
- Technicians open the mobile app to see their stops for the day
- As each job is completed, the technician updates status, adds notes, and captures a signature
- Invoices are generated from completed work orders
- Payment links are sent to customers or captured on-site
Tip
You do not need to set up everything at once. Start with customers, create your first job, and dispatch a technician. Add billing and communications once the core workflow is running.
